To help students take responsibility for learning process & outcome - discuss as a group what the subject is & create the "K.W.L." chart to direct where the learning is going... encourage thinking before coming to conclusion.
For example...
KWL Chart:
- "K:" what you already know about subject
- "W:" what do you want to know?
- "L:" what did you learn? (usually done after K & W are explored...)
